Killer Joe is a 2011 American film written by Tracy Letts and directed by William Friedkin. The film competed in competition and premiered at the 68th Venice Film Festival[1] before making its North American debut at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival, where US distribution rights were aquired by Liddell Entertainment.[2] LD Distribution, Liddell's new theatrical distribution company headed by indie veteran David Dinerstein, are scheduled to release Killer Joe in early 2012.[3]
